Computer-Tech in the Real World
Extremely Useful
In a future occupation, you are more than likely going to be required to use a computer
In computer-tech I have learned about all of the hardware, components, operating systems, and applications that I need to be fluent with regarding computers. If you are an accountant, you will need to be able to use Microsoft Excel. If you are in business, it is very important that you are capable of creating a powerpoint, etc. Not only am I now capable of using basic Microsoft office programs, but I now know of alternative options. There are so many other great underground programs like Prezi, VoiceThread, etc.
Staying in Compliance with the Law
In Computer-Tech, I have learned all about Copyrights and all of the different licenses, such as freeware, shareware, etc. Using this knowledge, I can make sure I am following the rules when it comes to pictures, music, video, and software. If you are not careful, you can land yourself in big trouble, this is important stuff to know.
