MakerSpace News!
Sew much fun!
Our students are getting excited about working with fabric this month. Hand sewing, machine sewing and fabric weaving all provide opportunities to create. They start out learning to thread a needle and hand sew a change purse, phone case or bookmark. Then they learn to control the sewing machine and will eventually sew a pillow, scarf or pencil case. The next time a button falls off their clothes they may be able to sew it on themselves.
We are looking for some donations for this MakerSpace station.
A few of the specific things we could use are:
Fleece
Felt
Material
Buttons
Pillow stuffing
Batting
Large eyed needles
