Tissue
epithelial, connective, muscular, and nervous
Tissues
3 Tissue Types
Epithelial
Muscular
Nervous
Epithelial
Shape : It can be different shapes such as squamous, cuboidal, columnar, and ciliated columnar.
This helps because there are different layers of epithelial tissue and they have different jobs to preform and they cannot do that if they all look alike
Muscular
Smooth : involuntary movement ( contraction of the smooth muscle tissue in the walls of the stomach and intestine )
Skeletal : Gives voluntary movement ( breathing )
Cardiac : most important role in the contraction of the atria and ventricles of the heart
Shape : striated
This helps because people want to build up their muscles and you can build striated muscles.
Nervous
Shape : vary according to the number, branching and disposition of their projections or dendrites
This helps because different neurons have different jobs to preform and they cannot do that being the same shape.
Connective
Location : Connective tissue is everywhere and it is important because without it our bones, ligaments, tendons, etc. would not connect together.
Function : provides a transport system within our body for oxygen and other important substances
Shape : the shape vary's
This helps because connective tissue is EVERYWHERE and they have different jobs to preform and different shapes they need to be.
