We’re very excited about our new service project. Meals on Wheels provides thousands of meals each month to the elderly in need, and we are collecting breakfast items at our Fall Concert to provide as many breakfast bags as possible. We are looking for the following items in pre-packaged single servings:

• Raisins
• Instant oatmeal
• Peanut butter or cheese crackers
• Breakfast or cereal bars (nothing too hard or crunchy)
• Goldfish & Cheez-Its
• Small cups of peanut butter
• Ensure Original
• Glucerna Original

Friday, October 14th is out Patriotic Show football game vs Tomball HS. All Choir students from both TMHS and THS will participate in the Halftime performance that evening. There will be a bus provided to the stadium that evening for students, but students are expected to be picked up at the conclusion of the performance, or at the end of the game. This is a required performance for all students, and is an exciting tradition in Tomball ISD! Please make sure this date is on your calendar for the TMHS vs THS football game and Patriotic Performance!

We will be sending out more information as well as requests for parent chaperones to sit with the students prior to the halftime performance. Students and parent helpers do not need a ticket to the game.

Students will need to bring their TMHS Choir Thermos and wear their TMHS Choir polo, jeans with no holes, and closed toe shoes.

Region auditions will be October 8th at TMHS.

We have a record number of students auditioning for Region this coming Saturday, October 8th @TMHS! That's right, we are hosting! If your son or daughter is not auditioning, we do need help in many different areas from 7:00am-3:30pm to ensure that the audition runs smoothly. We have mentioned this opportunity in class to students, and the possibility of letter jacket points or service hours. We will check on Monday to confirm students that are able to help, and then assign them roles such as room monitor, runner, rover, concessions helper, etc. It is our first time hosting this important audition and we hope to be able to run it again in future years, so we must put our best foot forward and be as hospitable as can be.

As a reminder to students and parents, there are a lot of events that choir participates in that require students to be eligible. Please make sure your students are staying on top of their grades, and making sure to pass their report cards and progress reports! We want all students to participate in any event they so desire, and part of that includes passing ALL classes.

Please make sure you have completed all required forms for your student for this school year. These forms are major grades!

Belles: Altos (you have come together as a team!)

Dudes: Basses (they have really stepped up this week!)

Chorale: Sopranos (your tone is improving!)

Bel Canto: 2nd Sopranos (consistent tone as a section)

Major Chords: Altos (tremendous effort given)
