Covid Disruptions
Thank you for bearing with us whilst we experience disruption in staffing due to Covid. We continue to do all we can to ensure that the school remains open and children are safe, happy and learning well. We hope to be able to return to normal operation soon.
FOSS
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, FOSS have still managed to raise nearly £1,900 up to the end of January, £800 of which was from the Christmas fayre, £478 from the Grimston Gallop and £140 from the pumpkin trail. This is a fantastic achievement and thank you so much to all who have helped and contributed to achieving this. We have taken requests from teachers and students and so far have been able to purchase the following items:
- 20 sets of Dictionaries and Thesaurus
- Some Giant Polydrons and Magnetic Blocks for Willow
- Contribution to T Shirts for the Young Voices
- A bike rack requested by the eco warriors
We still have a number of items on a wish list to purchase in the coming weeks for outdoor activities. We have a few activities planned which we hope the children will enjoy although we remain cautious in the current climate. We hope that we can get back to some more interactive events in the summer. We are always pleased to welcome any ideas and contributions from parents and guardians so please feel to contact any member of FOSS.

Pupil Absence Requests
This form should be completed by the parent/carer and returned to the school as far in advance as possible and preferably preferably with sufficient notice before the first intended day of absence.
The DfE regulations for attendance state that leave of absence during term-time should not be granted by schools unless there are ‘exceptional circumstances.’ Parents/carers must obtain the school’s permission before making any arrangements for leave in exceptional circumstances, otherwise the absence will be recorded as unauthorised and may result in a penalty notice being served.
School Lunches
Please see the new Spring 2022 Lunch menu below. Next week we will be on Week 2 of lunches.
Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.
Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.
Each day there are 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.
