Here are photos from our 4 & 5-year-old Chaverim students' consecration service and our annual Sukkot celebration.

Consecration marks the beginning of formal Jewish study. It is a lovely and meaningful ceremony for children and families alike. A large talit (prayer shawl) was held over the students while the rabbi offered encouragement and blessings. Each child received a miniature Torah, a consecration certificate and a discount voucher to attend a URJ Jewish summer camp.

We had nine consecrants: Ava Edelson, Carla Broda, Chandler Gilbert, Edward Yoo, Haylee Gilbert, Levi Postal, Max Wadkins, Molly Edelson and Stuart Greer.

Thank you to Doug Smith for cutting down branches for our sukkah's roof covering (sechach). We had a beautiful sukkah this year.
