Reservations deadline Wednesday, Nov. 11 - Jasper High School Band Silent Auction and Italian Dinner
All Robinson Students and Families are invited to attend the Jasper High School Band 2015 Italian Dinner Concert & Silent Auction featuring the Rice and Robinson Middle School Bands as well as Jasper High School Band. Robinson Band students will be performing in this event, so don't miss it -- Saturday, November 14, from 5-9:30 PM at Jasper HS!
The bands will perform throughout the evening. Dinner will be from 5:30-7:30 PM with a Silent Auction and Raffle from 5-9 PM. Dinner will be catered by MAGGIANO’S Restaurant and features a choice of Spaghetti with Meat or Marinara Sauce and include a Salad, Bread, Iced tea/water. Tickets for the dinner are $15 per person for adults/students ages 11 & above and must be bought in advance using the form below or online: http://www.jasperhighschoolband.com. Tickets are required for all persons and students eating dinner. Children's plates (ages 10 & younger) will feature spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce for $7.50 per person.
Make this a fun night for the whole family! Enjoy music, dinner, shop at the auction, and enter the raffle drawings for some awesome prize baskets.
Although anyone may attend the concert without having dinner, we highly encourage all band families to support this fundraising effort and join in the dinner as well as attend the concert! A portion of all tickets sold to Robinson Families will be given back to the Robinson band program.
Tickets may be bought via credit card online at http://www.jasperhighschoolband.com or paid via check/cash using the attached ticket order form (please drop off order forms w/ payment at the Robinson band office). Yearbook pictures needed
We are currently looking for pictures of outside sports and activities! This could be any hobby that your child has from dance to lacrosse to horseback riding! Even Pokemon-card-collecting! Please send pictures to Larissa.weidenbruch@pisd.edu and include some information about the picture including the name, grade, what the activity is, and how long your child has done this sport/hobby. Thanks! You can purchase a yearbook online at jostensyearbook.com if you would like to pay by credit card. Cost is $35.
Academy Programs of Plano ISD
Incoming ninth grade students who desire to attend one of Plano ISD High School Academies and live within the Plano ISD boundaries are invited to complete an application online.
Information Meetings and Middle School Presentations will be November 5 through December 8, 2015 (see flyer for exact dates and times). Applications are available online and are due December 11, 2015. A flyer is included in the newsletter.
PWSH Class of 2020
Calling the PWSH Class of 2020, we would like everyone to mark your calendars and save January 6, 2016 as the date for Journey to Jag Country. This event is for 2016-2017 9th graders attending Jasper. Look for more information in the December issues of the eNews.
Vines Vikettes Annual Garage Sale Fundraiser
If you would love to join in on the fun, you can rent a space for $25.00, and get an adjoining space for an additional $15.00. If you rent a space the day of the sale, the cost goes up to $30 for a single space and $20 for an adjoining space, so sign up beforehand to save some money! :) This is a great way to clean out all that clutter and make some money!!! But......if you do not want to mess with a garage sale, then why not donate your items to the Vikettes Drill Team for their fundraiser???. OR simply come & shop our SALE!!
Please drop off donated items Saturday morning between 7:00 and 8:00am the day of the sale, or call 469-223-9554 (Teresa Barnett) or teresabarnett@verizon.net for pick-up of larger items, more information, or to make your reservation today.
Career Day Volunteers
Robinson Middle School is planning their annual Career Day for Friday, March 4th. We are looking for parents and other members of the community who would like to come to school and talk about their careers. The purpose of this program is to give our students a better idea of the world of work as well as an understanding of some of the different choices that will be available to them as they plan for their future.
Volunteers are needed for eighth grade. We welcome your participation for an hour or half day. Our school day begins at 8:30 and we are ending our career day at noon. Each class period is approximately 47 minutes; however, you can present for 20-35 minutes and allow the remainder of the period for questions. Before your presentation, please try to arrive at Robinson thirty minutes early for a leisurely check into the school.
