LVMS Newsletter

What a GREAT first week!
I appreciate everyone's patience as we have gotten this year off the ground - our bus struggles have been well documented, but we should see marked improvement next week. Car line has been busy, but as everyone gets used to the procedures, it will get faster.
Most importantly, we appreciate the opportunity to work with your students. It's an incredible honor to be teachers, and we hope to make the best out of everyday.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Scavenger Hunt Coach Jackson's class did a scavenger hunt to become familiar with the room and to get to know each other. | Science Cards Mrs. Drake's classes played Apples and Oranges on the first day to introduce themselves to their classmates. | Math! Students missed doing math so much over the summer - luckily, the teachers have jumped right in and got right to work. |

Classroom Community Building Mrs. Kudrna's class worked on building a positive classroom community with teamwork challenges. Here students are trying to save Sam the Gummy Worm. | What Would You Use? Mrs. Roeling's class worked together to create and prioritize a list of things they would need if they were stranded on a desert island. | Notebook Building If your student has Mrs. O'Bryant for math, ask them how she feels about the math notebook. They worked on getting them started this week and they are going to be amazing(extremely helpful as well) at the end of the year. |
