Digital vs Analog
Waves
Digital
Digital signals are discrete time signals generated by digital modulation.Denoted by square waves.Computers, CDs, DVDs, and other digital electronic devices.Samples analog waveforms into a limited set of numbers and records them.Less affected since noise response are analog in nature
Analog
Analog signal is a continuous signal which represents physical measurements.Denoted by sine waves.Human voice in air, analog electronic devices.Analog technology records waveforms as they are.
What the waves look like.
A picture of a zoomed in cd
This is how CDs work
The lands and pits are changed into pulses like digital signals and then are used to create sound based off of the pulses 2 pulses makes the number 0 1 pulse makes the number 1
This is what it looks like
To be able to see this you would need a micro scope that zooms up to 7000x's!
This is an example of an analog signal gaming console
This system is called a retro duo it is one of the older consoles similar to the n64 or the original play station and Xbox. These consoles have a lower value because they are older and lower quality.
This is an example of a digital gaming console
This is kind of a more updated and better picture version of the old consoles they are more expensive but very worth it they also provide with more games due to the fact that the older games stopped making them.
My preference
I personally like the newer better picture consoles or digital signal consoles because I am more used to them and I like to stay up to date with society and I don't like the feel of the older consoles I understand they are more expensive but I feel it is very worth it because the games are fun and easy to play but can have the option to be challenging if they wanted to.
