Mini Bio: Che Guevara
Connection To Civil Disobedience :
Guevara is a perfect example of the type of person Thoreau describes in Civil Disobedience. Guevara had the same basic ideals as Thoreau, "That government is best which governs least" (Civil Disobedience). Thoreau believed a good government was one that did not govern so strictly over it's people. Guevara obviously thought the same. Guevara started a multitude of revolution's in multiple countries. It was what kept him going on. Guevara believed that unjust, tyrannical governments must be eradicated, just as Thoreau did, "It is not a man's duty, as a matter of course, to devote himself to the eradication of any, even the most enormous, wrong"(Civil Disobedience). Both Thoreau and Guevara shared very similar ideals on government, making Guevara a perfect example of a rebel relating civil disobedience in reality.
