Bobcat Virtual Update
March 4, 2021
Dear Bobcat Virtual Families,
On Monday, you should have received the 2021-2022 Scheduling and Placement Newsletter. It is extremely important that every Bobcat Virtual parent/student complete the appropriate form for each K-11th grade student by Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 11:59pm.
We will begin looking at our enrollment numbers across the district in the coming weeks so that we can ensure that staff is distributed appropriately across our buildings for the 2021-2022 school year. At the secondary level, this will also allow us to make sure that we have appropriate courses scheduled based on student interest.
We understand that this may be a difficult decision for some of our families, but we need you to make your best guess about where your student will be attending classes next year. If you change your mind over the coming months, you can just reach out to us to request a switch. Changes can be made through July 31, 2021.
As always, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Spring Testing - Update
We are currently in the planning stages for exactly when and where the elementary and middle school testing will take place. Testing for 3rd-7th grade students will likely be split over two days and will be in various locations across the district. Testing for 8th grade students will likely take place in both the morning and afternoon of April 13, 2021.
High school students should plan to take the SAT/PSAT and M-STEP sometime during the week of April 12-16. Exact dates for the various grades are still being determined. These tests will take place at the High School East with the rest of the high school students.
Please keep an eye out for further, more detailed communication on spring testing in future newsletters.
If you have questions or concerns about this testing process and requirements, please contact Mrs. Walroth at awalroth@gbcs.org.
