Dear North Lake Families,
Season 3 Winter Sports Registration is open in FamilyID for 7th-grade girls basketball and 6th & 7th-grade co-ed wrestling and will close on February 11th. For your convenience, click on the link https://www.familyid.com/organizations/north-lake-middle-school to register. Note: if you registered your student previously in FamilyID, please use the same account to register for a new sport so you don't have to fill out the entire registration again. All students must have a sports physical on file prior to trying out. If your student makes the girls basketball team, they must also have ASB. Wrestling is a non-cut sport and all students participating must have ASB as well as a physical. If your student participated in any of the previous sports, they will have a physical on file. Team pictures will be on Wednesday, February 23rd. Picture packets will be given out prior to 2/23.
Girls Basketball Information from Coach Griffen:
Sign Up Sheets are outside the girls' locker room in the main gym. Try-outs will begin on February 7th. Practices will be held in the main gym on school days only, Monday through Thursday from 2:50-4:50. The first official practice will be on February 10th. A parent meeting will be held on February 10th at 4:45 in the main gym.
Wrestling information from Coach Pakinas:
Sign Up Sheets are in the cafeteria. Practices will be held in the auxiliary gym on school days only, Monday through Thursday from 2:50-4:15. Our first official day of practice is February 14th. A parent meeting will be held on Friday, February 23rd @ 4:15 in the auxiliary gym.
Practice will be held on conference week, February 14th-17th from 2:50-4:15.
CONFERENCE WEEK IS FEBRUARY 14TH - 17TH
Parent/Teacher conferences are quickly approaching. The sign-up process is all online. As we get closer to conference week, we will share more information about how to sign-up for conferences. Conference week will be a 2.5 hour early release with school ending at 12:20.
* * Replacement levies on Feb. 8 ballot to fund educational programs and technology * *
Remember to vote by Tuesday, Feb. 8. Ballots for the February. 8, 2022, Special Election were mailed to registered Snohomish County voters beginning January. 21st.
Ballots must be postmarked no later than midnight on Feb. 8, 2022, and do not require postage. Lake Stevens 24-hour secure ballot drop box is located at 1800 Main Street near the boat launch. Ballots must be in the box by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Lake Stevens School District has two replacement levies on the Feb. 8 ballot—a replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy and a replacement Technology Levy.
Educational Programs and Operations Levy
The Replacement Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy will continue to fund day-to-day school operations to ensure EVERY student in our district has access to a safe and updated learning environment and continues funding for:
Student Success
Making sure our students have enough teachers to keep class sizes low and plan for continued student enrollment growth in our district.
Student Health and Safety
Providing full-time nurses at each school, student mental health support specialists at our secondary schools, and guidance counselors in all of our schools. Continuing building security upgrades throughout the district.
Student Programs and Opportunities
Continuing funding for early learning programs, Special Education funding, and access to extracurricular activities, athletics, arts, and music.
Technology Levy
The replacement Technology Levy will continue to fund technology that supports student learning. Renewal of the Technology Levy continues funding for:
Innovative Learning
Ensuring every student and educator has the technology they need to support our culture of excellence.
Replacing Aging Devices
Replacing aging devices so students and employees have access to updated, secure technology.
Devices for each student
Continuing to maintain our investment in technology and our 1:1 program for students.

Making sure our students, staff and families have training on technology, tools, and programs to ensure success for all learners.
