Please Take the Trombly Safe Routes Survey!!!
The Trombly Safe Routes to School committee has developed a quick survey. It will only take a few minutes to complete, but the data will be incredibly useful as we move forward in the Safe Routes planning process. This is designed only for Trombly parents. Thank you for your time and input!

No Plastic November!
Dear Reader,
In Mrs.O’Meara’s class, we have been doing a PBL social studies project about oceans. Our essential question is why are oceans important? The oceans give us a lot of amazing things, we found. We also found that all humans give the oceans bad gifts in return. Our oceans, lakes, and rivers are polluted. The main pollutant is plastic. Did you know over 90% of marine debris is from plastics?
Our research has inspired us to do a campaign called No Plastic November. Throughout the month of November we will be sharing eco friendly facts about water pollution from plastics and tips for not contributing to this through using single use plastics like straws and water bottles.
We’re especially excited about an eco friendly straw sale we’ll be hosting in November. Money we raise will go to the Recycling Women of Gambia. Stay tuned for more exciting news on this project. Keep your eyes open for more information coming in The Trombly Times, WTRO and posters around the school.
Our class brainstormed, wrote and revised a No Plastics Pledge. We invite you and your family to take the plastics pledge with us.
