Classroom News
This week we read a biography of Cesar Chavez focusing on how biographies contain deeper connections about what we can learn about humanity, not just an important individual. We drew connections between an earlier biography we read this year about Malala Yousefzai - both individuals worked toward human rights. Fifth graders are digging deeper into the lives of others and what can be applied to our own lives.
In math, we constructed many rectangular prisms with cubes to discover that volume can stay the same even if the dimensions of the box change.
We are working to peer revise and edit our collaborative fairy tales to share in the near future! Illustrations of each author's visualizations are also underway!
