Exciting Plans for the Kinder Room
for 2014
3 year old kinder and 4 year old kinder
The proposal
After careful consideration and consultation with educators we are excited to propose the launch of a more formalised three year old and four year old program. We will run this program in the current Kinder room, and children will be grouped according to age and experience some icreased “structured” time and intentional teaching based on their age and stage of development.
At this stage the pre-school children (children that will be attending school in 2015) will be called Group 1 and the younger children will be called group 2.
We are currently working on a new and exciting project to name these groups and the rooms. We see this as an opportunity to embrace our indigenous aboriginal culture in our local area and reflect our centre's philosophy.
Why the change?
We know that children learn better through careful planning and consideration of the environment, the size of the group and the educators involved in their learning process.
What will this mean for my 4 year old?
Teachers in this group:
Josephine - Bachelor Qualified Kindergarten Teacher
Contact hours - Monday-Thursday 9-4
Non-contact hours - Friday (planning day)
Dinata - Diploma Qualified Co-educator
Contact hours - Monday-Friday 8.15-5.15 (RDO every second Friday)
Tara - Bachelor Qualified Kindergarten Teacher

Group 1 will have approximately 13-15 children per day. This will be very beneficial for your child as the educators will be better able to plan for and accommodate for your child's individual needs, interests and abilities within that small group.

“ is ongoing and each child will progress towards the outcomes in different and equally meaningful ways. Learning is not always predictable and linear. Educators plan with each child and the outcomes in mind.” EYLF
