Another Fun Run in the Books!
Thank you to everyone that donated. With your help we raised over $17,000 for our new school media library! Truly amazing!
The kids had a ball running their 35 laps around the Boosterthon track. It was great seeing our parents come out to join the fun. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our day run so smoothly!
SPECIAL THANKS TO VALERIE INGENITO FOR ORGANIZING THIS AWESOME AND PROFITABLE EVENT!!!

Lottery Applications Are Now Being Accepted!
For All Incoming CMS Siblings:
The NPS District is now conducting all school choice lotteries. Even though your incoming child is a CMS sibling, you will still need to fill out a lottery application. There is one common application for all of the elementary school choice lotteries. You will find the application at the following link: https://norwalkps.org/choiceprograms
Applications will be accepted through April 29. Failure to submit an application will likely result in the loss of your sibling priority.
2022/23 Kindergarten Registration

Carousel of Reading First Book Event
Norwalk Public Schools in collaboration with NFEP, NFT, NASA and UPSEU are partnering with First Book to work together to bring 40,000 brand new books to families in Norwalk. The Carousel of Reading First Book event will take place on Saturday, May 21 from 11am to 3pm at Norwalk High School, 23 Calvin Murphy Drive.
This fun event will feature free books for children of all ages including new releases and best sellers. There is no cost to attend. For the convenience of our families, a shuttle bus to and from the event will be provided from the South Norwalk area.
Storytellers will be onsite along with authors, a DJ, food trucks, snacks and popcorn, a photo booth, local vendors, partners and more! Representatives from each school across the district will also be there showcasing their school spirit.
“This exciting collaboration between NPS and Norwalk unions will not only allow us to enrich our classroom libraries, but also to support libraries in homes across Norwalk. Teachers and families will have the opportunity to select books from an array of titles and genres, inspiring a love for reading, and the ability to explore new topics, people, cultures and adventure,” said NPS Superintendent Dr. Alexandra Estrella.
First Book is an international nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to working with educators, paraprofessionals, and program leaders like you to provide brand new, free and low-cost books to kids from low-income families. Since 1992, First Book has distributed more than 100 million new books to thousands of schools and community programs nationwide that work directly with children in need.
