Final Reminder - 8th Grade Farewell Cerremony
The farewell ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Rider University in the Alumni Gym. Each student will be recognized for successfully completing eighth grade. Students must arrive at 6:30pm.
Ticket Information
- Each eighth grader will receive three (3) tickets to the farewell ceremony.
- At this time, there are no extra tickets available. You may request, in writing, to be placed on a waiting list. The ceremony will be recorded and broadcast on Channels 19 and 37.
-Tickets to the ceremony, including additional requested tickets, will be distributed to students the day before, June 14, in their first period class. The students will receive an envelope marked with their name which will contain the tickets. Each ticket has the student's name handwritten on the back.
If you do not need the three tickets you have been given; please return them via your student to the main office. Please contact Diane Smith at the Middle School (671-5525) or dsmith@ltps.org if you have any questions.
Other Information
- Students are encouraged to dress nicely (business) for the ceremony.
Students and their guests will be expected to follow all Rider rules and CDC guidance in effect at the time of the Farewell Ceremony. Attendees will need to complete a COVID-19 survey prior to admittance.
Attached is a map of the Rider University Campus. The Alumni Gym is identified on the enclosed map. Although parking is directly behind the Student Recreation Center, please be sure to leave time to walk into the building and find seating.
Inappropriate behaviors between now and until the end of the year can result in a student losing his/her privilege of participating in the end-of-the-year activities. We are looking forward to the 8th grade dance and seeing you on June 15th.

Attention Rising 8th Graders - 2022-2023 Course Selection
It is time to select a world language course! The Genesis Portal is now open.
Please watch the video below and check out the attached directions.
All students MUST select a world language (Chinese, French, or Spanish)
Please select more than one and prioritize (1st Choice, 2nd Choice)
If you are interested in taking Chorus 8, Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, or Musical Theater you will also need to select.
Please reach out to your counselor if you have any questions.
All selections must be made by June 13th.
Attention Rising 8th Graders
Are you interested in helping to promote the LMS Community?
The LMS Cardinal Ambassador Program is taking applications for students who are interested in volunteering to serve as a liaison between the current LMS community and prospective students as well as new students. Cardinal Ambassadors will serve as student assistants for all campus events held for prospective students and families. Students will serve as tour guides, interpreters, assistants to staff, and greeters.

If you are interested in becoming a Cardinal Ambassador, the application is due on June 16, before 3:30pm.

Lost and Found
If your child is missing an item, he/she should take the time to look through the items on the table. Chances are that the item has taken up residence in our Lost and Found!
Students who are moving out of Lawrence Township before or during the summer, should please contact Ms. Smith, dsmith@ltps.org, in the Main Office. You will be required to complete a withdrawal form prior to moving.
End of Year Video
Attention 8th Grade Families
Do you have pictures of your child throughout the school years? Would you like to share them in an end of the year throwback video? Please support our efforts to create a video with a throwback song and your pictures which will be dedicated to this year's 8th grade class.
Please send digital photos to lmsvideo@ltps.info. Digital pictures will also be accepted
showcasing events and activities throughout the school year, i.e. sports, school play, St. Baldricks, 8th grade dance.

EOY Reminders
The Library wants to remind all students with outstanding library books to please return them to the library as soon as possible.
2021-2022 LMS Yearbooks
As we have done in the past, we will designate days over the summer to visit the campus for yearbook pick-up. If you are moving or not returning to the Lawrence Township School District, please reach out to Ms. Quarry, lquarry@ltps.org with an email so she may contact you when the yearbooks arrive.

2022-2023 School Lunch Program
We encourage ALL families to re-apply for status consideration, as the income parameters for Free and Reduced-Price meals have changed. These amended procedures should include more families onto master eligibility lists, which determine P-EBT benefits, state funding, and funding for various academic programs.
Lunch applications will be approved and available online in August. Please log into the Genesis Parent Portal to complete the application and to see if you qualify. . Paper applications can also be obtained from your child's school main office or at the Board of Education around the same time.

Last Day of School is Wednesday, June 22, 2022. This is a half-day; dismissal is at 11:40 am and no lunch is served that day.
Support the LTEF - Super 50/50 Raffle
LTEF and Lawrence Main Street are joining forces once again for a Super 50/50 raffle. The raffle will be on sale beginning Friday, May 27 until Thursday, June 30. The winner will be selected at Music in the Park at 8 pm on June 30th. You do NOT need to be present to win. Only 1000 tickets will be sold. It is anticipated that all 1000 tickets will sell quickly!
If all 1000 tickets sell, the winner will receive $10,000 and each organization will get $5000. Sign up here. Instructions on how to purchase raffle tickets will be sent to you. Tickets are $20.
