Next week's school target

Have fun and take care of each other.

Hillam Lights

Hillam Lights have kindly donated a gift for every child, which will come home today. This is because they were unable to give them out at the traditional lights switch on. You can watch videos from the event her: Facebook Live, and Video with message from Santa

Goodbye Miss Jaques.

Sadly, we have to say goodbye to Miss Jaques today as her maternity cover contract has come to an end. We would like to thank her for working so hard to make sure our youngest children had a fantastic start to their school like, and wish her well for the future. We are pleased to welcome Mrs Elcock back on Monday.

Starting School in September?

As you know, we are unable to show visitors around our school at the moment. We know that families are looking for schools for children starting in September 2021 and so we have put a short video tour on our website to help show how our school works. If you know a family who might like to apply for a place next year do encourage them to look at the website, or speak to the office.

Christmas Jumper Day

Thank you to everyone who took part and donated to Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day Appeal. We have raised £152 so far. If you haven't yet had chance to make your donation then please do this via ParentPay, every bit helps!

Christmas Activities

We are still trying to do some of our normal Christmas activities in school. We will want to share some of these with you as videos, but we need to do so in a safe way. Please be patient with us because the technology is new to everyone. We may need to grant access to each single request separately, which will obviously take some time. Do bear with us because we will do our very best to grant access as quickly as we can.

Punctual attendance - better than last week but still not quite there.

Thank you to everyone who arrived on time this week, sadly we are still having people regularly arriving late which is causing problems trying to keep bubbles apart as well as causing disruption in the classroom.

PLEASE help us by being PUNCTUAL both at drop off and pick up times. We are doing this to keep yourselves and your children safe.

Energy Suppliers

Did you know that many of the smaller energy suppliers get much better customer feedback than the ‘Big 6’ companies? Don’t rule out switching to companies you may not have heard of without doing some research first – you can check out the Which? list of recommended energy suppliers here: The average household can save £200 per year so make December the month you switch!

Covid Prevention Measures

Thank you for adhering to our ongoing Covid-19 prevention measures. Now that the country has come out of lockdown, it is important that we all remember to keep to our rules. Please always remember to wash hands and belongings regularly, maintain social distance and (adults) wear a mask. Please also leave enough room for children in other bubbles to pass, particularly on the bottom playground. If anyone in your family shows symptoms, the whole family must isolate until a negative test result is obtained. We would not like all our hard work this term to be undone in the run up to Christmas, and none of us wants to be self-isolating in the coming weeks.

Reporting a positive Covid result out of hours.

Should you believe your child to have Covid-19 symptoms and need to go into self-isolation, please notify the school office in the usual way via phone or email.

Should you receive a ‘test positive’ result for your child it is VITAL that you notify us as soon as possible: During school hours – directly to the school office via 01977 682388.

Out of hours send an email to (stating student’s full name and class, contact phone number, date and time of positive Covid test result – please use TEST POSITIVE in the title)

It is VITAL that you let us know as soon as you possibly can so that we can implement contingency planning.

Covid App

Don’t forget that our school has registered with the Covid Symptom Study to help monitor the spread of the virus. If you would like to participate, you will need to register with the school code A2JC644. For more information including full instructions on how to join and use the COVID Symptom Study app please head to:
