Note From Our New Principal

Big picture

Dear Copper Creek Families,

I am incredibly proud and honored to serve as your new Principal of Copper Creek Elementary School. My history and connection with Copper Creek and this community are extensive, having served on this campus as a Special Education Teacher, Third Grade Teacher, and Reading Specialist before becoming Dean several years ago. In fact, I have two children – now 17 and 22 years old – who were both students at Copper Creek and received solid educational foundations.

Throughout my 26 years in education, I’ve always put the needs of children first; ensuring all students receive the best possible education. I also believe that it is important to be a collaborative leader by building and maintaining meaningful relationships with parents, students, staff, and the community. I look forward to strengthening existing relationships and developing new ones. Please don’t hesitate to drop me an email, stop by the office, or say hello when out and about in the community.

I would like to thank Ms. McNeill for her time and service at Copper Creek over the last 8 years. Her dedication and passion for Copper Creek, its students, and faculty are to be applauded. I am grateful to have worked for her and with her and appreciate Ms. McNeill’s mentorship.

Looking forward to the 2022/2023 school year, please save the evening of Monday, August 1st as the date for Meet the Teacher Night. Our first Bobcat Blast of the new school year will be sent on July 17th with additional Meet the Teacher night details.

The 22/23 school year will be here before we know it, so please have a wonderful and relaxing summer.

Sincerely,

Christina Myers
Principal

Ms. Kay Hall our very own cafeteria manager would like to let all families know, students will begin entering their own student ID numbers when buying food from the cafeteria. You can find their student ID number in PowerSchools. Below is a number chart resembling the cafeteria key pad. During the summer, please have your child practice entering in their number to prepare for the school year.
