how did hitler come to power ?
In the early 1930s, the state in Germany was bad. The economic depression that affected the world had major effects on Germany. Majority of the population were unemployed. The defeat of WWI humiliated the Germans. The German people were humiliated by the loss of the WW1 Hitler tried to convince that the Jewish people were the cause of the loss. This caused and economic depression for Germany and the world.
Hitler was powerful and a persuasive speaker who attracted the Germans to listen and stand for a change. He promised the poor a more grateful life and a new and glorious Germany. The Nazis stood up for the poor and the lower middle class for example small store owners, office employees, craftsman and farmers.
The Nazi Rise
The Nazis rise to power was really fast. Before the disaster of the WW1 and the economic depression that it caused the Nazis were practically unknown, winning only 3 percent of the German parliament in elections 1924. In the 1932 elections, the Nazis won around 30 percent of the votes, which was more than any other party. In January 193 Hitler was promoted to the head of the German government and many Germans believed they had found a better leader that will show them the right way for there nation Germany.
