Mayor's message
October in Willow Park means the Rayfield Wright Golf Tournament is upon us. This year’s event will feature NFL Hall of Fame members and a great showing by community members coming out to support our first responders and community food bank. We are grateful to Rayfield Wright and his wife, Di, for creating such a wonderful event that highlights our community and raising money to support those who support us.
October is also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and at our Sept. 28 city council meeting, we recognized Freedom House of Parker County for their work assisting the families impacted by domestic violence. More than 20,000 calls are placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide every day. We support those who assist these victims and those who hold offenders accountable in our county. For more information on how you can support Freedom House, please visit https://www.freedomhousepc.org.
This month also kicks off the Mayor's Food Drive, where we hope to collect 3,000 bags of food for the Center of Hope.
