Dear Green Devils families,
We are proud of our school and our students! The winter sports season has been a very successful one and other schools may be “green with envy”. The recent trifecta of winning the Top Of Iowa Conference in Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, and Wrestling is an awesome accomplishment.
Our wrestlers punched their ticket to the State Duals for the 2nd year in a row!! We will be canceling school on Wednesday, February 19th, so students, staff, and community can attend the State Dual Wrestling Meet, in support of our wrestlers, as they have qualified as a team. We wrestle at 9 am on the 19th at Wells Fargo Arena, and at 11 or 1 depending on the outcome. We will also have students wrestling in the State individual meet as well on February 20, 21, and 22nd. The school has a pep bus sign up. Please call 641-732-3102 to be on the list.
We are very blessed to be selected to host many State sanctioned events in Osage next week as well! Note that State sanctioned means no passes and $6 admission for all. Please consider coming out to cheer on the teams for the last time at home this season as both teams journey to the state tourney! The following games are in Osage:
Tuesday, February 18 - Girls Basketball 7 PM
Thursday, February 20 - Boys Basketball 6:30PM
Friday, February 21 - Girls Basketball 7PM
Please note that Parent-Teacher Conferences will still be held on Thursday, February 13th, 4-8 pm and Tuesday, February 18th, 3:15-6:45 PM. Note the change in time, due to the 7 PM game so that students, staff, and families may attend the game we are hosting.
No School Feb 19 (State Dual Wrestling)
No School Feb 21 PT Comp Day
No School Feb 24 Winter Break
Thank you for supporting our students, coaches, and teams and best of luck to the GREEN DEVILS in the upcoming days and weeks!
