Friendly Reminders

Parents & Guardians,

Thank you for supporting our Veterans Day Car Parade! We had a great turn out of friends and family members. Our students bundled up and honored those that have and continue to serve for our country. Our wolf pack was so excited to show our respect and love for all veterans. I hope you had an opportunity to watch as we live streamed it on our Facebook page. If you missed it you can still access it at our Washington Irving Elementary School Facebook page. Be sure to check out some of the photos below.

This week we will be focusing on the life principle of generosity. There's no better way to show our generosity than to support our local food pantry, Project 66. We will be collecting cans and other non-perishable items to donate to Project 66 until the end of the day on Thursday. When students have items to donate, they will place them in either a OU or OSU box inside their grade level pod. Our food drive will coincide with the OU vs OSU Bedlam game happening on November 19th. We are looking forward to this friendly competition. If you are interested in learning more about Project 66, click HERE.

Washington Irving will continue its tradition of providing holiday assistance through our Angel Tree. If you are interested in receiving holiday assistance, click on the button below and fill out the Google form before December 1st. Please note, our counselors will work diligently to support as many families as possible. However, filling out the form doesn't guarantee assistance. If you would like to donate gifts to our Angel Tree, please read the flyer below for more details on how you can give to families in need.

As a reminder, there will be no school November 21st -25th for Thanksgiving break. I hope you have an opportunity to be with loved ones making memories. As always, thank you for supporting Washington Irving! We couldn't do it without our amazing families. Go Wolves! One Pack One Purpose!

Wishing you well,

Cori Ann Lloyd

Principal, Washington Irving Elementary
