CBP Officer Pages Visits St. Agatha Catholic School
On October 21, 2019, CBP Officer Pages came to St. Agatha Catholic School to start off our Red Ribbon Week celebration. Officer Pages is dedicated to the community as well to the security of our nation. He works for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Part of his duties include inspecting people and cargo entering the United States to ensure that we are protected from terrorism and illegal drugs. As a community leader, he attends many schools in the area and makes presentations to make kids aware of the danger of drugs. He has previously presented to our school on career day and loves to teach children about police work and how police officers help keep our community safe. As part of Red Ribbon Week, CBP Officer Pages spoke to our kindergarten through six grade classes. He showed kids how police officers protect our citizens and also spokes about the dangers of drugs. It was evident that CBP Officer Pages loves his job and loves teaching children of all ages. One student stated, “I loved wearing the bullet proof vest, but it was heavy!” We personally thank CBP Officer Pages for his continued service in our community.

Oh When The Saints, Go Marching In!
November 1st, All Saints Day, is a Holy Day of Obligation where we attend Mass to commemorate all the Saints. At St. Agatha, we celebrate this day by having our 1st grade students dress as Saints. The students looked incredibly adorable and, being that they were dressed as Saints, they behaved extra well during mass. Everyone enjoyed singing the recessional song, "Oh When the Saints." The whole church was singing and clapping along to the tune. This is my favorite Mass of the year and I can’t wait to see this again next year!
