Celebrating Equality at LMS
Monday, February 25th
This day highlights the importance of ALL Americans, and particularly our LMS family, recognizing how far our society has come and how much further we have to go to reach racial equality. This is not just a Black and White issue. All people; Black, White, Native American, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islanders, and every other identity are affected by racism. Racism holds all of us back and keeps us from achieving our potential as a society.
Peer Leaders will be serving different flavors of ice cream to students in the cafeteria in a very simplistic symbolism about how we can and should all co-exist!
Tuesday, February 26th
While the world has achieved progress towards gender equality and women’s empowerment under the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals (including equal access to primary education between girls and boys), women and girls continue to suffer discrimination and violence in every part of the world.
Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
Providing women and girls with equal access to education, health care, decent work, and representation in political and economic decision-making processes will fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large. Women achieving equal pay is actually a realistic goal for our students' generation, however, advocacy efforts towards this are still needed to make the goal a reality.

Know When Buses Arrive for Afternoon Dismissal & What Buses Will Be Late
To use: Just click on the slides in the left margin to see which buses were 1st, or 2nd Load. Typically the 2nd load will show what buses are late. Occasionally we will use a 3rd Load on days with special circumstances, like the beginning of school. If this is the case the late buses will be located there.
If you are inclined, you can use the free Google Slides App from the App store or Google Play to access and save to your mobile device.
