Long Hill School Newsletter
June 2022
Message from the Principal, Mrs. D'Aiuto
I can not believe the end of the school year is upon us. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was welcoming our students on our first day in September. Despite some challenges, we were able to have a successful school year. This was due to the collaborative partnership between students, staff, and parents. I am so proud of all our students as they displayed hard work, perseverance, and effort throughout the school year. LHS is an incredible school, filled with so many wonderful children who never cease to amaze me.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our PTO Executive Board (Niyati Rao, Catherine Burgholzer, Rebecca Sampieri, and Jessica Mayne) for all their hard work and dedication this school year. I would also like to thank our various PTO chairs and volunteers for devoting their time as well. We would not have been able to have such a fantastic and successful school year without the PTO's support.
To all our families leaving LHS and moving to 5th grade at Perry Hill School, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. You will be missed.
Have a happy, safe, and relaxing summer break!

Reminder About Planned Vacations and School Work
For planned absences, such as vacation during the school year, teachers are NOT required to provide students or parents/guardians with advance work or assignments. It is the student’s and/or parent’s responsibility to get the work upon their return. Taking time from school to go on a vacation poses a risk to your child’s educational progress. Both students and parents must understand that when school is missed due to vacations, it is not the responsibility of the teachers to provide remedial instruction for the assignments/content that has been missed.
