Mrs. Nagel's Weekly Newsletter

Friday March 20th

Happy 1st Day of Spring

As I have been holding conferences with you and assessing your 1st graders, I have been noticing the wonderful progress they have made, especially with reading and handwriting! What great things to experience! The progress and improvements they make are because YOU guide and support them through their lessons and the extra practice they may need at home. If the students do not have the dedication and commitment from you, they will not flourish and not progress as they should. THANK YOU!

The 3rd quarter ends March 26th. Please be sure to check your student's progress! It is important that they stay on-track according to suggested progress. (It should be within 10%+-) Please see the progress percentages below.

Don't Forget about Storia!

MNVA's online school library! This is an exciting new opportunity that is available to every student in MNVA Elementary! Each of the books in the Storia library are ebooks and delivered to you through your computer and internet access. Storia is customizable for your student too! As your homeroom teacher, I have the ability to add books to your student's bookshelf, but so do you! Storia supports reading and phonics skills as well as higher level standards. So these books may be specific books that are of interest to your student or may be beneficial when working on a certain skill. This wonderful school library is also accessible 24-7! There is no limit to how long you have a book and there are over 2,000 titles that are leveled and either fiction or nonfiction.

If you have not already, I urge you to log in and check it out today! (Any time spent in Storia library will be counted towards the attendance requirements.)

I have sent each student a Kmail with their Username and Password in them. However, if you need me to resend or reset your password, please let me know!

Happy Reading!
