Read for the Fun of It!

Encourage your students to think and read outside of the box, as well as seek out fantasy, science fiction and other out-of- this-world reads. Teens can even vote for their favorite teen reads now through 10/13!

Flipgrid Your Fiction Contest!

Encourage your students to post a video on Flipgrid to tell us about a fiction book that they have read and love. Posts will be uploaded to our website. Contest ends October 31st!

Want to add a new DVD or audio book resource for your classroom? Complete the following Google Form with your request(s). I will research the requested resource(s) and add them to our collection if they meet the district's selection criteria. Some great resource lists include The School Library Journal for DVDs, audio, movies, Booklist Audio and Video Reviews, and Science Books and Films.

Want to Access The Sacramento Bee in the Classroom?

Find current articles in English or Spanish by visiting the Sacramento Bee News in Education website. Log in as a student using the AnHS Class ID #2843 and password lewis found on our Library website under electronic resources. Once you log in as a student select "Read Today's Paper" to choose The Sacramento Bee or El Nuevo Herald. You can also access many other student resources on their website for use in your classroom.
