What is IB?

International Baccalaureate (IB) is a worldwide, nonprofit education program founded to give all students the opportunity to receive an education fit for a globalizing world. IB is intended to develop students’ intellectual, emotional, personal and social skills.

IB takes a global approach, looking at big ideas across multiple disciplines.

No matter what they’re studying, students dig deep into

subjects and try to find answers.

What is the plan?

Ogden School District currently offers students the option to participate in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Ogden High School. We are now implementing a model of the IB program for all students at T.O. Smith Elementary School and all students at Mount Ogden Junior High School.

Any interested students would be invited to request enrollment in the IB program, regardless of where they live.

We encourage you to learn more about the IB program and the plan to expand this unique and exciting learning model to students of all grades while increasing the participation and diversity of students who elect to continue the program in high school.
