BGSA Meeting and Discussion
TOPIC: Religious/Spiritual Diversity in the Black Community
Purpose
An open and honest discussion about religious and spiritual diversity in the Black community. How do our beliefs impact our work? How do we use patients' religious or spiritual beliefs to gain an understanding of them and their community? What is it like to practice therapy across religious and spiritual identities? We will discuss some of the religious and spiritual demographics of the Black community in the United Sates as well as personal and clinical experiences.
