We Are So Proud of Our Pod!
Congratulations to our Vinland Dolphins for earning a Spirit Week for filling our fish tank with Best Fin Forward awards! These awards represent our students' collective achievements in meeting our Dolphin expectations of being kind, being responsible, being respectful and being ready to learn. The students will be rewarded not only with a Spirit Week, but also a monster truck visit on March 6th! During Spirit Week (March 2nd-6th), Vinland will celebrate with a free dress week, with an emphasis on student participation of the following themes each day.
Our Spirit Week schedule, March 2nd-6th:
- Monday, Mar. 2nd: Backwards Day
- Tuesday, Mar. 3rd: Crazy Hat/Crazy Socks Day
- Wednesday, Mar. 4th: Workout Wednesday
- Thursday, Mar. 5th: Sports Team /College Teams
- Friday, Mar. 6th: Aloha Day

Online Registration is Open for the Class of 2033!
Anyone needing additional assistance in navigating our online computer registration process is invited to join us at Vinland Elementary in the computer lab on Tuesday, March 3rd from 6:30-7:30pm. Spanish interpreter services will be available.
Looking Smart
- Vinland Colors: All articles of clothing must be solid colors of navy blue, forest green, khaki, or white. Any visible layers must also be in Vinland solid colors. The only acceptable logo on clothing is the Vinland dolphin logo.
- Outer layers such as sweatshirts, sweaters, and vests in solid Vinland colors, as well as Vinland logo sweatshirts, may be worn indoors.
- Jackets and coats (outerwear worn outside) does not need to be in uniform colors.

Fin to the Finish Art Contest
Help celebrate the 9th running of Fins to the Finish by creating the race artwork! Fins to the Finish is Vinland Elementary School’s Family Fun Run/Walk 5k to be held this year on Saturday April 25th, 2020 @ 9am.
Contest Guidelines: Date: February 24th – March 13th
- All entries must be submitted to main school office no later than the end of the school day March 13, 2020
Design Limitations:
- Artwork must be reproducible on our event t-shirt
- Consider: Color pencil or other medium on paper: 5 COLOR LIMIT
- We are looking for student art that represents the fun of running with friends and crossing the finish line!
- Entrants are limited to students currently attending Vinland Elementary
- On back of every submission include: Student name, Teacher, Grade
The winning entrant will have their artwork feautured on our Fins to the Finish t-shirts as well as receive a gift certficate.
