Lubbock
Texas tech university museum
The TTU Museum was, I guess "published" in 1990.It has been decently succesful since the array of exhibits. The museum has ancient Indian art, sculptures, dinosaurs, Western art, pictures, and more. somewhere in the thing there are photos of WW2 spots Lubbock, Covering America in the 1950′s and 1960′s, clothing, President Lincoln archived photos, historic toys, and more. In my opinion the best part of the museum is the planetarium.

The Titanic Remembered
It's not an exhibition of Titanic proportions, but The Discovery Center just south of downtown offers Abilenians and other visitors a unique tie to the sinking of the great ocean liner 100 years ago."The Titanic Remembered," includes a display of memorabilia from the estate of late Abilene oilman and explorer Jack Grimm. Grimm, who died in 1998 at age 72, and financed and participated in three searches for the resting place of Titanic, which sank April 15, 1912, on its first voyage. I just noticed that Jack grim has the same name as the guy in the movie!!!!
