Principal's Message
Orchard Families,
Welcome back from the fall break! The school doors are open and classes are back in session. We hope the break was a restful one. It is time to remind students about supportive routines, including bedtimes, healthy eating habits, and no cellphones or electronics on campus.
In addition, we also wanted to bring to your attention some disturbing Tik Tok challenges that unfortunately, have become popular around the country. This trend started with the "devious challenge," which encouraged students to steal things from schools including soap dispensers and bathroom sinks. We are sad to report that some Orchard students participated in this challenge.
According to the printed article, many of the challenges on the list are criminal offenses, and will result in charges against anyone who carries them out. Our goal is to keep you informed so that you can speak with your student(s) about the seriousness of this matter.
We are very concerned about the newest challenge on the Tik Tok list and are hoping for full support from parents and caregivers regarding the prevention of the challenge. The October challenge encourages students to strike teachers. Please, make sure your children are aware that anyone participating in this type of activity will face serious consequences which will involve both on campus and city authorities.
