The Teaching Intern Program is coordinated by a team of faculty members who help the Interns explore the complexities of teaching in and beyond the classroom. The Intern program at Exeter Summer is an opportunity to practice the Harkness teaching method, which is a student-directed round table discussion. Interns are paired with and led by an experienced faculty mentor who works closely with them, preparing the Intern to co-teach and then to teach on their own by the end of the five weeks, all in a boarding school environment. Dates of the internship range from Monday, July 1 through Friday, August 2. (Teaching Interns arrive on June 26 for orientation and stay through student departure on August 2) and includes $3,300, plus room and board. Check out Tribe Careers for more details!
