Math at Home

A note from Stacy Winters, Mathematics Supervisor:

Thank you for allowing me to join you this morning and share resources to cultivate our young learners as mathematicians through this difficult time. I have created a bitly for the presentation which is If the links are not active on the view only copy, they will be when you make a copy. Please reach out to me at if you have any questions. Information regarding enrolling your child in Table Talk math will be forthcoming.

Valentine Food Drive

During the week of February 8-12, LAF will be collecting food for the Community Foodbank of New Jersey. Our partnership with the Foodbank goes back 18 years and typically consists of all the students visiting and volunteering at the warehouse in Hillside, New Jersey as well as a Coin Drive to support their Backpack program. More information to follow.

This food drive will take the place of our traditional Valentine's Day card exchange. Please do not send your child into school with Valentine's to share. Thank You.

LEGO Replay

This week, your children might come home and ask to pack up some of those LEGOs that have been laying around. Why? We just started a LEGO Replay Drive starting now until January 29th.

The LEGO bricks you send in will be sorted and cleaned before being donated to Teach for America or Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. Bricks that might be a little too worn out aren’t just thrown away. LEGO Replay can sometimes grind them down to make new pieces. Pieces that can’t be ground down and reused help generate power in the LEGO facilities. Very Cool!!! When LEGO makes too many bricks of one kind, they are donated through the LEGO Foundation to charities all over the world!

So if you are tired of those dusty LEGOs in the basement or stepped on one too many loose LEGOs, send them to LAF by January 29th.

All LEGOs can be brought to the front lobby. Thank you in advance for your support.

Audio Recording of the PTO Meeting

We are so sorry for the technical difficulties today. Here is an audio recording from this morning because, of course, the video did not record :)
