Landforms, Natural Resources, and Natural Disasters.

Landforms,in Vietnam are mostly made up of hills\mountains, caves are also surrounding the many lakes\rivers of this past war zone.Also highlands and mountain plateaus in the north and northwest are popular landforms in Vietnam.Natural hazards, occasional typhoons (May to January) with extensive flooding , especially in the Mekon river delta. Natural resources, phosphates, coal, manganese, bauxite, chromate, offshore oil and gas deposits, timber, hydropower are natural resources here.


Nationality, Vietnam holds many different cultures which includes Kinh (Viet) 85.7%, Tay , Thai, Muong, Khme, Mong, Nung others, Languages, Vietnamese (official), English (increasingly favored as a second language), some French, Chinese, and Khmer, mountain area languages (Mon-Khmer and Malayo-Polynesian). There are many religons in Vietnam, which include Buddhist, Catholic ,Hoa Hao,Cao Dai,Protestant, Muslim, and mostly none at all. One tradition in Vietnam is Respect for parents and ancestors is a key virtue in Vietnam. The oldest male in the family is the head of the family and the most important family member.


Vietnam is a single-party state,membership includes a chairman, vice chairman, cabinet ministers, and the heads of state committees, whose terms of office coincide with that of the National Assembly.Each ministry is headed by a minister, who is assisted by two to twelve deputy ministers. The number and functions of the ministries are not prescribed in the Constitution, but in 1987 there were twenty-three ministries, and a number of other specialized commissions and departments.
