Endless talents beyond the court!

As the six-foot-two center for the New York Liberty, WNBA star Kym Hampton captured the hearts and minds of fans across the nation. She took her athletic talents to Arizona State University where she graduated with a degree in theater. After graduation in 1984 and seeing no opportunities for women in professional basketball, Hampton took her talents overseas to Japan and Europe where she also pursued music and mastered several languages. In 1997, Hampton was recruited fourth in the first WNBA Elite Draft. Although she had many highlights in her career in the states, she counts starring as the center in the WNBA All-Star Game and receiving the Rising Star Award from the New York Women's Agenda for her contributions to the women of New York as among her finest.

This basketball legend's career has not just been limited to the court. In addition to being an accomplished singer, Hampton has also worked as a plus-sized model landing major campaigns, as well as a role in Spike Lee's 2004 film "She Hate Me." Most recently she was a featured model in Queen Latifah's Queen Collection for Cover Girl.
