The temperature may range between 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37.7 degrees Celsius) in the Summer, and -40 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius) in the Winter. Grasslands usually get between 10 and 35 inches of precipitation each year. Most of the rain occurs in the late Spring, and early Summer.
Grasslands are in North America, South America, Africa, Australia, Europe, and Asia. Most of the grasslands are located in Asia and Europe.
Animals in the grasslands include coyotes, bobcats, american bison, the gray wolf, and 300 other species of birds. There are also prairie chickens, Canadian geese, and eagles. Some very small animals include grasshoppers, beetles, and crickets.
Plants in grasslands include grasses, flowers, and herbs. Grasses can be between two and three feet tall. Some grasses include buffalo grass, blue grama, big blue stem, little blue stem, and switch grasses.
