FCPS Welcomes Students In-Person
FCPS was excited to offer face-to-face learning to 808 students, beginning Thursday, November 5. Each school maintains a roster of students to supplement this number, in the event some of the initial group are unable to return.
All students have the option to continue asynchronous distance-learning, beginning Thursday, November 5, every student has a synchronous schedule they are encouraged to follow. This synchronous schedule offers regular live instruction from the teachers.
Currently, 77% of FCPS students participate in distance learning each day.
150th Anniversary Commemorative Events
We are pleased to announce that a series of events will be held November 16-20, 2020 to commemorate the division's 150th Anniversary Celebration. These events will coincide with American Education Week and present all FCPS with the unique opportunity to celebrate public education and to honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that each student continues to receive a quality education. Dr. Catlett will share a special message to kick off the event on Monday, November 16. Be sure to visit our website and social media for more information.

The Virginia Board of Education and the Virginia Department of Education recognize November 2020 as Family Engagement In Education Month. In celebration of the value and necessity of strong family, community, and school partnerships, this month provides an opportunity for school leaders to be reflective and direct action toward developing plans and policies to enhance culturally responsive family engagement.
