President Obama kicks off the Hour of Code 2014
What is Hour of Code?
The 'Hour of Code' is a nationwide initiative by CSEdWeek and code.org to introduce computer programming to 10 million students and encourage them to learn programming.
Hello Ruby
Great book coming out about kids learning code! Hello Ruby is a celebration of computing: from its immense philosophies to the tiniest booleans - and everything in between. Ruby is a small girl with a big imagination: her animal friends help her navigate through sometimes seemingly irrational world. In some ways she’s like Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes, in others she’s like Pippi Longstockings. Ruby’s world has rules and reason, repetition and rhythm, ridicules and riddles and one can build something out of nothing.
Spheros for Schools
Dawson has 10 Spheros that schools can check out to use with their students on learning how to use code in a fun way! We can bring them out to your schools and work with the teachers and students on how to use them with iPads.
