Each subject lists the county's assignment plan as well as additional resources. These resources will help with the plan the county has provided.
- Monday- Review the different text structures and complete the “Jigsaw” for the different types of text structure.
- Tuesday- Read the text, “Youth Power”, annotate, and synthesis why voting is important.
- Wednesday– Read the text, “I Can’t Wait to Vote”, annotate, and synthesis why voting is important.
- Thursday– Read and annotate “Reading A” and answer text dependent questions.
- Friday – Read and annotate “Reading B” and answer text dependent questions.
- Choose an assignment from iReady Reading each day!

- Your login is the same login you would use for the computer followed by the ending @student.rcschools.net

- Monday- Read "Vote" and complete steps 1-4 to summarize the text
- Tuesday- Read "Order in the Court" and complete steps 1-3 to use context clues to understand the meaning of unknown words
- Wednesday- Reread "Order in the Court" and complete steps 1-3 to summarize the text
- Thursday- Reread "Order in the Court" and complete steps 1-2. Answer the questions in complete sentences and highlight the text evidence. Use the information you have learned to complete the timeline.
- Friday- Reread both texts from the week. Read the writing prompt and respond to it by writing a letter. Use the strategies we have learned to help you with your writing.

Science
- Part A: Draw a model to explain why the hotel company would be worried about mountaintop mining occurring above the lake where they plan to have a swimming lake. Provide evidence of mechanical weathering.
- Part B: Develop a plan to protect the structures around the mine by targeting water erosion. Then, determine if the lake below the hotel will be safe for swimming.
- Part C: Create an argument, using evidence from research, that human activity can affect the land and/or waterways in positive and/or negative ways.
- Part D: Determine harmful effects of original phenomenon and solutions to prevent them.
