INFORMATION ... Updates from the district

*TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK - We are so honored to celebrate you this week! We have a few treats for your. Don't forget that Friday lunch will be provided by PTO and it will be a drive thru at our school. We ask that you drive through starting at 11 and ending by 12:30, pick up your lunch and enjoy.

*School Updates - May 4 - I will be working with team leaders tomorrow and we will put together a sign up sheet where you can sign up for a 3 hour block to come work in your room. We are asking that for now you sign up ONLY if it is a pressing need, like packing your room, etc. We will be limiting the amount so that we have no more than 25% in each hallway. When you come to work, you will need to wear a mask, close your door, stay in your room, limit socializing and if you do socialize, you must adhere to the 6ft rule. And at this time, I am asking limited if any copies be made. We will be open Wednesday and Thursday this week and starting next week M-Th from 8:30 - 3:00.

*Lunch serving - Thursday is our day for lunch service at ORHS. We need 6 voluteers. Since we are back to limited access, anyone can now volunteer to serve, teachers and/or paras. Use this link to sign up here. You will need to be able to ensure that you have not been sick, have not had a fever in the last week, haven't taken anything that is considered fever reducing within 24 hours (tylenol, advil, etc), haven't been exposed to anyone who has the virus, and have not traveled to a location where you must self isolate. You will also need face covering or they will provide you with one. Hours are 10:00 - 1 at ORHS and they ask that you report by 9:30 for screening. *Team leaders will be talking tomorrow about end of year activities. If you have any great ideas for students, staff, etc...please communicate with team leaders by our meeting tomorrow.

*Next year - We are currently working on a map, master schedule, etc... for next school year as well as all the hiring. We hope to have everything ready to launch May 11. I am going to ask you, without causing more stress, I hope, to be patient and understanding. We are adding PK full day next year which is challenging for space and specials. I might be reaching out to a few of you about moving rooms in order to make it all work in the best possible way. I know this is not always comfortable, but it is something we have to do. Thanks for understanding ahead of time.

Cooking will start at 11 so we will try and stagger your times (via team leaders) so that you don't have to wait long and it will be hot and ready to go when you arrive.

We will have a faculty meeting for ALL staff (paras included) on Monday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m. I will include the Zoom link next week in Owl Notes. Just want you to be prepared!
