Forward Test for Grades 3-5
All students that take the Forward exam need working headphones. Please check with your student to see if all headphones are working correctly. If not, please purchase a simple set of headphones for students to have at school. Some headphones have been lost or no longer work.
We ask that you please make sure your student is in school each day of the testing so that students do not need to miss additional class time for makeup testing. We will need everyone back right away on the first day back after spring break, which is Monday, April 3. If you have any questions about Forward testing, please contact Mr. Sepersky

• Thank you, Zak, for stepping in to do the speaking part for a friend during our Spring concert. I know it took a lot of courage to be willing to stand in front of a crown without having any time to practice your lines. Your willingness to take a risk is a great character trait!
• I have so much admiration for Owen. He is such a compassionate and kind person. He thinks of others before himself on a daily basis. Owen continues to be there to support one of our students in our class. He takes the time to explain things to ensure the student is keeping up with us. Wow! Keep up being such a great person and good friend!
• [Name] is working hard on not giving up with learning gets hard and is keeping a positive attitude! Keep up the great work!
• Egxon was really engaged in our small group today and was excited to show off his work! His effort is so important in continuing to learn and grow.
• Yeliezis was really engaged in our small group today and was excited to show off her work! Her effort is so important in continuing to learn and grow.
• Owen was incredibly engaged during writing today. He payed close attention to the organization of his essay, and really worked to ensure that he had all the necessary components connected by transitions!
• During a Forward Prep Lesson, Johnny was actively engaged in our activity. Not only was Johnny engaged, but he took it upon himself to help a friend who was having a hard time and falling behind. Johnny made sure to explain the who, what, where, when, and why of what we were doing to ensure his friend understood.
• Samantha has one of the biggest hearts and is full of compassion and empathy for others. Recently, she realized that a fellow classmate, who sits behind her, was upset because he just didn't understand something. He was really stuck. She stopped what she was doing and asked if he needed help. She proceeded to go to him and help him understand what to do. I have witnessed Samantha do this twice in the past week. We are so lucky to have her in our class family.
• This was a big week for learning the US Standard Algorithm for subtraction in 4th grade. When it was time to practice on our own, Johnny noticed a student was having trouble understanding how to do it successfully. Johnny offered to help this student by taking him in the hallway with a dry erase marker and board. He worked with the student until he understood. Johnny, you made a big difference to the student you helped! Thank you!
• Molly is such a friendly and kind person. We are so lucky she is part of our class family because Molly will drop what she is doing to help anyone! It happened again today...She was sitting near someone who was struggling with her writing and Molly stopped what she was doing and helped her. I could see the look of appreciation on her classmate's face.
• I appreciate Karlie so much. Karlie keeps our room fully stocked of all the things we need! If she sees that we are out of tissue, she heads to the storage locker to get more tissue. If the wipes container is empty, she tosses the old one and gets us a new one. If paper runs out, Karlie takes care of that too. Thanks Karlie....we appreciate you taking care of us in this way!
