Linus Pauling

Known for his work in biochemistry

Linus Pauling was born on February 28th, 1901. He was a Biochemist that lived in Oswego, Oregon with his family. He also was one of the founders of the quantum chemistry and molecular biology. At age 9, Linus was a very skilled reader. Pauling was inspired by a chemistry kit from his friend Lloyd A. Jeffress. When he attended high school, he continued to make chemistry concoctions. By the time he was 15, he was in high school as senior and had enough credits to attend Oregon State University. Linus started a family and studied bio chemistry until his death in 1994.
