Social Studies Classes
Mrs. Klein's students have just finished the geography section where we learned about various environmental problems which include the unequal distribution of oil and water in the area; the difference between an ethnic group and a religious group, and the three prominent monotheistic religions that originated in the area. This test is on October 16. We are now exploring the governments and economic systems of these areas. If you aren't receiving regular updates from Mrs. Klein, text @7ad05 to 81010. Also, remember to visit our class web page kleinsocialstudies@weebly.com
Mrs. Williams classes are currently playing the Stock Market Game. Please stay in touch with Remind.com. Simply text @3f8245 to 81010 to receive important reminders.

St. Simon's Field Trip
7th graders have the opportunity to travel to St. Simons Island on Wednesday, March 2nd, and return Friday, March 4th. The cost of the trip this year is $240. The price of the trip includes: charter bus, 2-night stay at Epworth-by-the-Sea on St. Simons Island, all meals, snacks, and interactive classes and instruction at Driftwood Education Center. This trip is loaded with fun activities for every type of student. The student to teacher ratio for this trip is about 12 to 1, and when combined with Driftwood’s staff, it is 6 to 1.
To reserve a spot on the trip, please return a nonrefundable $50 deposit. At present we have about 30 slots left. We do have a payment plan of about $50 a month. The final payment will be due on February 4, 2016.
This fieldtrip is a remarkable opportunity to make a lifetime impression on each student. If you have any questions about the trip, please do not hesitate to call. You can reach Mrs. Fowler from 10:00-11:30 at school (706-253-1760) or email her anytime: darlenefowler@pickenscountyschools.org
