Message From the Principal
I think the warmer weather is finally settling in for a while. It's still very likely that we will continue to get rain storms and chilly weather periodically, so please be sure to continue to check the forecast each night or each morning. We have a lot of coats in our lost and found, and the coats don't have names on the tags. Please check your coat closets and see if you have anything missing. You're always welcome to come in and check our lost and found items. Chances are if you're questionning where a coat is, it's probably here.
June is just around the corner. Every year we celebrate high school seniors who attended Lake Tapps Elementary, Dieringer Heights and/or North Tapps Middle School. We weren't allowed to do that for the last two years due to Covid restrictions. This year, we will celebrate them on June 6 at about 12:30pm--we call it the Victory Tour. They will arrive via bus. We are going to line the halls with our current students and staff and have the seniors walk through everyone as we cheer and clap for them. We are so proud of them and they get to be the example for our young students. They will also get to visit with some of their past teachers while they are here. They will also visit DHES and NTMS on the same day. What an exciting time for our high school seniors!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Pat Webster--Head Learner

Character Word For May -- Cooperation
During May, we will be focusing on the character word, "Cooperation."
Cooperation means working together to reach the same end or goal.
"What a child can do in cooperation today, he can do alone tomorrow."
Lve Vygotsky
"If there is not cooperation, it means that we don't understand one another."
