Sisters of the Catechism Water Well
We have been given an opportunity to help a Village in Kenya, Africa with a School & Convent, who lost their source of water.
One of our St. Louis parishioners was hosted at this convent during a past mission trip. They were recently contacted by the Sisters of the Catechism to see if we would pray for them & if we could help restore their water source. The cost for a new well is $5000 US dollars.
On Tuesday, May 10th, Students may bring in any loose change to their classroom. Once the change is counted, it will be donated to the Sisters of the Catechism Water Well fund from our school to theirs. The Sisters are also collecting Prayer Requests. If you have a Special Prayer request, please write it down on an index card & send it in with your change. The Sisters of the Catechism will read aloud each petition at a special Mass on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima on May 14.
Thank you for your consideration in helping be the answer to their Prayer.
Let us be a Blessing to others, as we ourselves have been Blessed.
Safe Routes/Walk to School Day
On Wednesday, May 11, SLS and other schools in our community are participating in a Walk to School Day. It will be similar to how they were conducted in the past. SLS students can be dropped off at the Liberty Park pavilion starting at 7:00 am. Several SLS staff members and I will be there to meet your children. We will start walking at 7:15 and arrive at school by 7:35. Any questions or concerns, please contact April Baxter, abaxter@st.louisschool.org.
***If it happens to be raining that morning, SLS will not be walking to school.

To apply for this voucher, you must bring the front page of your 2015 1040 tax form to the school office, along with the attached Program Application form.
SGO or I4Qed Program
The Trust Fund program guidelines are attached to the newsletter. This is money donated to St. Louis to provide tuition assistance to students at St. Louis. This year we are able to provide $1000 per child for SGO funds.
