My High School Experience
Journal #1
Well high school has been a trip for me from ninth grade all the way till now twelfth grade. I have learned so much over the past four years and it has helped me grow a whole lot. Not only school work but I have learned a lot about myself and the people around me also. I have made new friends and I have lost friends over time you see that people change and things change. Now I am going to tell you a little bit about my journey at Bayside High School.
My freshman year I was so happy and excited to be in high school till this day I still remember my first day outfit. It was so different from middle school we had less rules, more freedom, and with freedom comes great responsibility. Which I had none of and had to learn the hard way of the dos and don’ts of high school. I messed up a lot my freshman year skipping class, getting detentions going to class late. I was off track turned in work whenever I pleased and just did what I wanted to.
My tenth grade year I was still a little into playing games but not as much. I was not skipping class as much or getting detentions my grades were still a little shaky but I was doing my work more. I was starting to see that it was time to start maturing and start taking school more seriously. So by the end of my sophomore year I passed but barely and I did not have to go to summer school. I told myself that next school year am going to be more focused and out with the games.
My junior year had finally came around and I was finally getting down to work and the games were out the window. I was in class on time there was no more skipping at all and I turned in work when it was due. I felt so good about myself and that I had matured a whole lot from freshman year. My grades looked so much better and I felt a lot better about myself and school. I passed my junior year successfully and I was so ready and excited for senior year.
The time is here and it is senior year we are in our last fourth nine week of school. It is going to be hard because a lot of people are going to want to slack off but now is not the time. As seniors we have to work hard and finish strong and keep our grades in tip-top shape. June seventeenth is going to be one of the most important days of our lives. I really cannot wait and I am so excited to finish this journey with my friends.
