Community Service Projects

Our Sunday School community service projects have been going wonderfully this season! Thanks to the hard work of our students and your help in providing needed materials, we were able to make just under 100 fleece hats to give to the CAC in addition to all the hats and coats collected during our coat drive and mitten tree projects. Furthermore, our latest finished activity brought in 85 DVDs to donate to the organization, Kid Flicks! We are also very grateful for the donations of 550 para cord we are currently receiving in order to make emergency bracelets for soldiers who are deployed overseas. As of right now we are set to make at least 50 bracelets. If you would like to donate toward this cause, please drop off any 550 strength para cord in muted colors to the church office at your convenience. Thank you for helping to show our kids what caring for others looks like! Check out some pictures from our latest service:

THIS Sunday is CAMP Sunday!

Consider giving your child a summer camp experience. Camps have an unquestionably significant influence on the spiritual and relational lives of our youth. Send your child to camp this summer and let him or her connect with Christ. For more information go to www.phoc.org, and be in church this Sunday as camp staff will be here to talk to you about this great opportunity!

First Presbyterian Church and the Maumee Valley Presbytery offer camp scholarships to assist our members in paying the cost of a Christian summer camp. To receive a scholarship for your child, pick up a scholarship application form in the office or from the Christian Education Director, Kathleen Wheeler, and return the completed form to the Office Manager, Connie Gregory, no later than May 1st.
