A Weekly Look at Grant Elementary School & the Grant PTA

Week Of October 22, 2018

Halloween Costumes This Year

In years past, we have asked students to bring their Halloween costumes to school and change into them during lunchtime. This year we invite Grant students to wear their Halloween costumes to school. They may bring school-appropriate masks and accessories with them for the parade. Please remember to save all costume weapons, gory masks, and fake blood for the evening festivities.

Grant Halloween Parade, Wednesday, 10/31 *New Time This Year*

The beloved annual Grant Halloween Parade is almost upon us. Students will gather on the blacktop around 10:45 (*Note the time change this year as it's an early release day) on 10/31 and a few minutes later they'll proceed through the neighborhood, coming back through the front of the school. Parade route below. *Please, no swords, guns or fake blood.

This Year on Halloween, Consider Being a Teal Pumpkin House

Putting a teal pumpkin on your doorstep means you have non-food treats available, such as glow sticks or small toys. This simple act promotes inclusion for trick-or-treaters with food allergies or other conditions. For details check out the website:
